Big Rarity Update - read for details!

i find this especially fascinating for the non dogs, as they're such a big part of trading and they've gone omgsr, i wonder how this will affect them.

It shouldn't make it harder to get any pets. As opposed to normal updates where pets are changing rarities, no pets in this update changed to move up or down. They're worth exactly the same now as they were worth this morning before the update. It's the the categories they're sorted into that have changed.

oof i lost 2/3 of my rares and uncommons to this update lmao
i now have so many omgsc - common that i had to separate them into their own folders instead of having one for all three categories
this is gonna take some getting used to aaaa

Hang tight guys, we're working on updating and sorting the list to adapt to this change. c: Best thing you can do is wait before trading any lists, especially if they've just turned OMGSR.

I just finished sorting through my groups and impressed me the amount of OMG so commons and Very commons. Some of the pets in my rare folder turned uncommon so I had to move them to ther different corresponding animal folder however looking through my wolves and dogs folder some lucky doggos turned rare! So wooo
Also some rares in the folder turned very rare which suprised me a lot, and another thing: On CS bday i got the pps uncommon snow leopard and kept it thinking nothing of it, but just now, checking the folder

While I'm sure this has been needed for a long time & that it will make things easier in the long run, I'm honestly unhappy about this.

First, as a newer member, I was still learning about how rarity & a pet's year factor into trading. It's a lot to try to learn and remember. A couple nice members had given me what was very helpful advice but now with so many pets changing rarities that advice is practically useless. Plus with what are basically new rarity categories in play there's now more to learn and remember for someone still trying to grasp everything.

Second, when I first joined I was gifted 2 omgsr pets by a very generous member. I came on today to find that my only 2 omgsr, my best 2 pets, were suddenly downgraded to very rare. My pet collection had very little value as it was since I'm still learning and now my collection is worth even less.

When I joined I just wanted to adopt some pets that I liked the look of and to enjoy having and maybe trading them. I wanted a relaxing place to decompress from the real world and all it's busyness. I didn't realize I'd have to learn a complicated trading system which has now just gotten more complicated. This honestly makes me want to dump all of my pets in The Pound and be done with this website.
