I just wanted to say that even though the official value of these horses and ponies will stay the same, value will go down in my eyes and maybe in some other user's eyes too.

^^^^^ You, my friend, make some excellent points.
I like them the way they are. I always have. Changing them would, as DangerousSmile said, take all of their "specialness" away. I also feel it would be sort of a diss to Equimagine for their work all those years ago to just be wiped away.
Yeah, the items don't really fit on them all that well, but that is not something that concerns me as much as losing the actual linearts does. They're history now, important history that I never want to see fade away, especially simply because "the items don't fit." They're special, they're important, they mean something. At least, they do to me.
As someone who owns old lineart horses, draft horses and ponies, and as someone who adopted them herself and watched them grow, it would pretty much devastate me to see them changed. They wouldn't be the same. It would be as though they were taken away from me and replaced with poor imitators, someone cruelly telling me, "They're exactly the same, but better."
They wouldn't be the same. I would hate to lose a single one of my precious equines. I own every single draft horse, every single Equi horse but ONE, and am missing merely four ponies. I love them all. Changing them would be a nightmare for me.
