To those debating the reasoning behind other variants of lines and why lines like the Sitting Cats aren't being changed :: If you read the front page a lot would be explained. It would clear up a lot of questions. There's no real reason as to why they should change any of Malk's stuff or Tess's own dragons and horses because they were made special, kind of like how store pets and holiday event-based pets are made special compared to the adoptables we receive for free every month. Most lines that were evidently reported for being traced or copied are being changed, and that includes the majority of Equimagine's stuff and the one stage of the Fennec Foxes Shima.Luan made.

Either than that, everything else is going to be staying the way it is. Sure it's not as "uniform" as this was first going to be, but through the last topic/poll, it became clear that the change should be done because of Equimagine's heavily-referenced/traced lines. There is more lines for the species of Horses and Ponies over any other species on this site, so I can see how this was mainly directed at the Horses and Ponies, but it evolved into the fact that Equimagine's lines were stolen art and had to be changed regardless of how nonuniform the Horses and Ponies species could have been if we were to keep them. Of course the Unicorns, Drafts, and the "re-vamped" Horses and Ponies Equimagine made when the rumors of her first horse and pony lines being copied started to arise are also included under this category, so in order to make it seem less of a mess, Yuhlyn will be putting the old versions and new versions of Equimagine's horses and ponies onto her one and only version of horses and ponies.

Ikr?! I am afraid of if it blowing my mind away, honestly.. I will never be able to afford the little guy, and at the beginning of this entire thing, he was my main reason of concern and the main reason as to why I was on the line of if I was okay with the change or not. xD Of course I stood on that line because no matter what I felt like both sides had their reasons, but I honestly favoured the people who said yes to the change a bit more.

Personally I hate every one of the changes. I traded away some of my favorite to get those and now I hardly want them anymore. And now they ALL look the same, they are not unique at all. Some of my favorite pets where equimagine and are not anymore, and some of my dreamies where chimaluan and are not going to be when you change them, and some of my yet to get dreamies where equimagine and when you change them will not be. And if you would have put the vote on the front page a lot more players like me would have seen it and been able to vote, cause i don't just go poking around the forums much and didn't see it until last night after i saw you had changed them. Over all i am not happy with any of the changes and had i been able to vote would have said no 100%.

We are going to ask CS staff to make special lineart and line changes for a few of the special pets so that they don't lose their charm in the move, example:
the PPS pets
The "roadkill" pony
The rainbow mane

The section quoted above is what I'm concerned with, especially the PPS pony shown (the same one in my signature). This PPS pony has been my favorite pet since I joined and, no offense, I prefer its lines to Yulynh's; I simply find the face shape of the old lines more aesthetically pleasing.

The language used in the quoted paragraph above is vague. What do "special line-art and line changes" specifically mean? I plan on saving the old line-art for nostalgic reasons anyway but a preview of the "special" changes would be welcome.

As an artist I understand the need to replace them; I'm actually surprised that they haven't been already if the staff knew the images were copyrighted months after releasing these pets which have now been out for years. I do wonder why they bothered to have a poll, no matter how briefly, if they knew the lines needed to be replaced.

the vote was so that they would not get any backlash basically people saying they are angry because there was no vote so it was to prevent anyone from getting totally angry that the lines changed without an explanation as to why.

think of it this way if there had been no vote and they had just changed the lines without anyones opinions at all would you have been angry that they where changed or angry that they changed without being told about the change before hand. and that none of the users being us had any say about whether or not they should change them or not which regardless they would have had to change them but still it would have angered alot of people to not have held a vote and just changed the lines without anyone knowing.

the pint was there Was a vote, the vote didnt matter but there was a vote. and it also goes into detail about why their was a vote, why the lines are changing and that they understand a lot of people wont like it

actually the reason why no barely any of site voted was because a majority of users never go to the global annoucement section on their profile if they had they would have know that the voting was a week long.

also note they are already being changed it's a final decision theres no discussion to be had about the line art change and one of that easter draft litter is already changed so the others are already being changed as well and they are not keeping the old lines period.

again the lines NEEDED to be changed due to copyright laws, the old linearts were traced from photos and not credited. if you read the first page it gived you all the information, including not only will the ponies and drafts change but so will shima foxes and zebras.
