I assume this is the case, but wanted to check anyway:
Moderators don't have anything to do with the art making part of the website right? They're two different positions?

i am obviously not a staff member of the site, but i believe they only create pets during the staff litter month, though i am not sure it’s a requirement of the position and may be something optional. so short answer is you would be correct?

Yes, moderator positions and CS artist positions are two different roles. If hired as a moderator your main job is to moderate the forums, however occasionally some mods do make pets for CS but this is not expected of the moderator role. Making a pet for the annual staff litter is always optional. ^^
