How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Every single day, no matter what. I always have access to internet on a computer and even on my iPod. c:
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
At the least, 6-8 hours a day on and off, and sometimes even more. On week days I get home at about 5:00 PM EST time, so I'll be on until about 10 PM. Weekends I am on practically the whole time, on and off. But on Tuesdays and Thursdays it'll be shorter since I have volleyball after school. But, the point is, is that I am on everyday for at least four hours, so I'll always be able to help. My time is also EST and I'm up early and I stay up late. C:
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
I was an admin on Roleplays United for about 2 years (beginning of 2010 to beginning of 2012), but I cannot provide a link because it got deleted due to inactivity. :c But if I do end up finding a link, I'll edit it in. I have moderated and have been an artist on a few threads on here, so I have a pretty good feel for what it would be like.
Have you ever used the CS oekaki to draw?
Of course! I use it all the time! I absolutely love it. I almost know what all of the buttons are used for and I find it easy and simple to use. I am currently on an "art break" so I havent used it in a few weeks, but I have been active through the oekaki forums and especially on the contests page and the adoptables page. I enjoy drawing on the oekaki very much and have started an adoptable thread as well as created many drawings in the Beginners Oekaki forum. I love getting feed back and critique for my own art work and designs, and have run/ran my own adoptable thread recently.
Do you ever spend much time browsing the oekaki board just to look at the art posted there?
Oh my gosh, yes! I especially love browsing the Intermediate Oekaki forum because there are just so many wonderful artists here on CS. Even the Beginners board has many awesome drawings. <3 One of my other favorites is the Editable Oekaki and the Adoptable oekaki, because I love to see what everyone else has created for others to enjoy!
Why do you want to be an oekaki moderator for CS?
I think that oekaki moderator would be the perfect position for me. I have a passion for drawing and art as well as to help others, so the combination would just make me the happiest user in the world! I spend a lot of my time on the oekaki boards and I am on every day for a long time, so I'll always be available to others. I also feel that it would be very fun to try this sort of thing out, even if I might make a mistake here and there. I would also love to give back and help CS, since CS has offered so many things to me that I cant even count them.
Things like blood and gore dont bother me much and I am very mature and responsible about those things. I handle things very seriously when I know it is not a time to joke and I know that it is important to take care of it right away. School has also helped me watch out for inappropriate content, whether it's language or photo related, I want to keep everyone at chickensmoothie safe and away from bad things like that.
I also have taken a few classes in art and I am saving up for my own drawing tablet, so I plan to give better critique and feed back on others art (which is always a nice thing, and I know it means a lot when it comes from a higher ranked person). I am a VERY hard worker and put much effort into what I do and I try to make the right choices all the time, and get the help when I need it. And as an artist when I can be on CS, and all the time outside of it, I keep a sharp eye out for art theft and abused/irresponsible art. I take art theft very seriously since I know it is very important to the original artist - especially have known the feeling since a piece of my art has been stolen before. I do understand that sometimes people make mistakes and maybe forget to add a link or say credit, or mis-credit someone, etc.
And one thing that is important to me, is that I have (relatively) good spelling, grammar, and punctuation so I am easy to understand, not get mixed up, or get mistakenly yelled at by using caps abuse. c; I know the staff works really hard and I'd love to be a part of that. I absolutely love the CS community {especially the oekaki} so I believe that this job would be right for me, as well give me a chance to show how responsible and mature I am. c:
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position?
I have a lot of experience using the oekaki, and as I have said before I almost know what all of the buttons are used for (but I must say that I dont have much experience with oekaki not being able to save, so I am being honest with you. :p). I also dont get mad easily, so I wont go off in a rage of fury at someone if they have done something wrong or have made a mistake. Im pretty good at reasoning, if I do say so myself, and have moderated/been an artist on many threads through CS on oekaki and not oekaki.
I have become very familiar with the oekaki tools and have read all of the oekaki/art guides on here and have actually asked a popular artist on here to give me some tips which helped me further understand the oekaki. I understand all of the CS rules and have read them over from time to time, and with that, I havent gotten any warnings/bans/anything from the CS staff or really anyone else. I have also taken a few classes in leadership in the past as well as a few in conflict resolution. Along with that I do babysit sometimes and have been/am a younger assistant/counselor at a camp, so I'd be more help with the younger kid situations. I have a fair amount of experience with conflict resolution and deal with it a lot during school (not that Im a trouble maker) and get a lot of practice in for online sites like this. Especially, blood and gore (as well as other things) dont bother me much and I would deal with it immediately or if it really needs review or attention, contact an admin or other responsible staff member. I just really want to be a part of this wonderful, awesome, and epic community because I would really love to help others with something I have a passion for. <3
Sorry that I edited so much, I kept thinking of other things to add. ;u; <3
Thank you for reading and considering!
