Before this it used to be so easy to make trades, because most of the pets were uncommon, and I didn't even have to really check that they were the same rarity because I knew it! Now, I actually have to make sure that I'm giving an uncommon for an uncommon, common for common, etc. Of course, I know it's more accurate now Thanks Nick!

Well, really, it was exactly the same before. Those with more rares had an easier time getting other rares. It's actually more fair now so we know more accurately what a pet is worth and how hard it is to get. Like Nick said, the pets are worth the same as before.

Personally I love the new systems. We now actually have very commons, and the new "OMG So Common" is a great addition. I feel like I can trust the rarity system a lot better now. And I love the little bars. :3

it's maybe a bad thing that some rare become uncommon, but kepe in mind they were in fact never rare
so a person that asked for such a rare, maybe offered to much ... and so lost pets.

I like the system now. it's easier and more fair to all of us. even if we have a rare or not.
the only thing that gives me some confusion are the year-difference. I know a rare from 2009 is more rarer then a rare from 2012, but it's in fact more the demand level that still gives confusion.
which pet has a high demand and which not? it can change every month and not everybody is so up to date on that part ^^;

Years still matter in the sense that the older a pet is, the more likely that it's in a "forever home," and as such, the more likely that less are in circulation ^__^

As an example with random numbers: If there are 9000 of a rare pet from 2009 and 9000 of a rare pet from 2012, then technically, they're worth exactly the same. However, since the 2009 pet has been around longer, it's more likely that a lot of those 2009 pets are in "forever homes" compared to the 2012 pets. As such, even though there may be the same number of those pets on the site, there will probably be less of the 2009 pet in circulation, so it's worth more.
