Want to know more about the elf for some reason? 
Well. Hm. What to say? There's many of us! At least 200 different people live inside our mind! We have always been a big system with lots and lots of people in our group who work together in a sort of village arrangement. We have fictives, factives, and "originals." This means we have people who were created by our brain based on our perception of fictional characters, people who were created out of our perceptions of real life figures (historical ones, almost entirely), and people who originated without any "canon source" or, if you will, any pattern or recipe.
We have
known we are a system for over 15 years but think that our brain first formed a system almost all the way back at the beginning of our life! We have individual members of different genders and sexualities, and for that reason we consider ourselves to just be "queer." Our gender "changes" when different people front (use the body). When that person "leaves front" (stops using the body and being present to know what's going on with it, sort of like going unconscious for a bit or taking a nap), another person takes over "fronting." That person might be a different gender or sexuality from the previous person, so it's easier to just say "eh, we're queer."
We have adults, children, animals, and "mythological" creatures in our system. We have individuals who are religious and ones who are very not. We have family units within our system and we even have some "sub-systems," which is when a member of a system in turn has a system of their own stored inside their individual mind!
