I hoard cats to show how many cats are euthanized each year in the U.S.
I've listed some facts in the quote below, feel free to read them. Warning: they can make you feel sad.
My goal is to collect 2 million (2'000'000) to show how many cats we are talking about.
This is a huge project! I believe I started this in 2012 or 2013.

If you want to help out with this project, please send me a trade so we can work something out!
I am only looking for cats in the linearts above. They can be heavily edited.
However, I am not looking for sitting cats, Malk cats or lions.

February 1st: 280.000 cats

I want to clarify something:

• Yes, some people gift me cats, but I also trade for many of them. I offerrares for bulk, I host auctions, I do offsite trades for them. A lot of my trade stock goes to my cat hoard
  
• I often help other hoarders by swapping cats, and I often unlock the group so people can swap for missing outcomes
  
• Yes, this is my personal hoard. I want to spread awerness, but this doesn't change the fact that this is my hoard and not of some goodwill organization. It also doesn't change anything IRN [in real life], but that also isn't my goal. I want to show how much that number really means. It happens in just 1 year, while this project takes me many, many years. That's why I am trading for them, I am not asking for free pets, nor am I expecting this.

• Approximately 3.4 million cats enter animal shelters nationwide every year
• Each year, approximately 1.4 million cats are euthanized
• Approximately 1.3 million cats are adopted each year
• Of the cats entering shelters, approximately 37% are adopted, 41% are euthanized, and less than 5% of cats who came in as strays are returned to their owners

Simple, yet amazing. I started hoarding these because people wanted to delete them for a rarity experiment and I wanted to save them.
The experiment was cancelled, but I still hoard them.
I fell in love with these beauties.

But as they grew I saw their beauty. I fell in love with them and decided to hoard the entire litter.
