Not a staff, but this is my interpretation and understanding:
It's to make it more clear if a user is following a specific guide so staff can more easily determine if someone is ninja trading (or for other users to know how they should base their offer if you follow a certain guide). For example, person 1 follows horror's guide. Let's say a pet is listed at 20MA value. The term per horror's guide is changed from 1MA=1HA (example), so the pet is listed at 20HA. It's still valued 20 MA, but now if I trade person 1, and they say "I think my pet is worth 20HA" I know for a fact they follow horror's guide. That may help me trade because maybe I know to offer 20MA because that user sees it as fair. However, if I don't follow horror's guide (let's say I think that pet is worth 25MA), I would say "I think that pet is worth 25MA" and I ask for more pets. That would not be considered ninja trading (to say a pet is valued more) because I don't follow horror's guide. However, let's say I have other pets listed as HA (indicating I do follow horror's guide), then I say "that pet is worth 25HA", it could be seen as lying (or if I said "that pet is worth 25MA" then I'm only 'following horror's guide' when it's convenient to me and misleading other users. Using MA/nons/etc. now just indicates that someone personally values their pet that way and not as a reference to a specific guide, and when they trade, it's a way of saying "I" value this pet this way.
The values of the pets themselves haven't changed or anything. It's just to identify to others that you follow a specific guide, you use that guide's specific terms so others know you follow that guide, and it's expected you generally stick to that guide across the board. If you want to still mentally think of it as 20HA=20MA, that's fine, but you just have to be clear using HA if you follow horror's guide specifically.
TLDR: Values haven't changed. It's only to make it easier for staff to try to catch users that may be deliberately lying about the value of pets (like pretending to follow a certain guide), taking advantage of users who may not know better (HA is less ambiguous than MA as it is a very specific term only used in reference to horror's guide), etc. And to clarify, you can still follow horror's guide with some deviation (like if you value pet A at 22HA and not 20HA as listed) because horror's guide is just a user run guide, not a hard and fast value rulebook or anything. The idea is that if you follow a specific guide, you don't deviate from it significantly and you don't willy nilly change your mind depending on the situation benefiting you.

As seen here if you type in sunback most recent trades at 58h and 57+h alone.

Also on the ftt people who are very in the loop on trading are saying at least 50h (this was preupdate so they do say 5n)

I don't even see people asking for less then 50h when I see them out trading. 45h just seems a little outdated.
