i really miss the old chicken smoothie sometimes. i know iβve only been playing since 2016 (made a new account since then), but it felt more real and refreshing. i met really cool people from all over and got to share my art and interests. iβve yet to do that since revisiting, because most people i find are looking for the material things in this game. not even material things- pixels.
iβll be the first one to admit that i love trading and iβve adapted to horrorβs list. iβll admit that i do like to trade my pets up and find demand and values fascinating. it doesnβt mean that the past doesnβt weigh heavy on my mind.
This is something I've been thinking about a lot. Back in the day the forums were so active and trading was kind of a secondary thing (for me anyway). I did a LOT of gifting high value pets because I felt such a strong sense of community and wanted to help other players out in achieving their favorite pets. Nowadays gifting a PPS dragoncat to a stranger is unthinkable because you'll never be able to get one again without selling your soul. It really feels like everyone is just in it for the value especially when it comes to store pets. Do people even actually like these old pets that much more? I don't think so. So while I don't have a solution I do think there needs to be a change. These old store pets are not worth what we are paying for them, and perceived demand has taken too much control of the value of these pets.
