Is there any way to simplify the whole list thing? Every time is try to trade a high value pet I spend a good hour or so researching and balancing everything, even though I’ve done 5hid several times already. I personally think the tier thing makes it all confusing, and information on different types of values seems a bit all over the place. I don’t know how to explain it exactly I guess, I just know I am having a MUCH harder time than I used to navigating values, whereas before I feel like it was much easier to follow and memorize even.

I know there is a lot that goes into this but I wanted to just voice my opinion as a semi-casual trader for when changes may be made in case you’re looking for any insight

Sameee after the update on rarities I can’t understand any of this. It used to be easy but i genuinely can’t understand any of this now. I need like a list that has like the dates and rarities and what those are worth in different ways idk. I can’t even fine what a old 2008 is worth cause it just says “equal valye” like what if I don’t want the same year pet idk what to do

I'd like to know a bit more about how the CS community has determined rarity for some pets, especially older store pets, but I'm not sure where people have compiled that sort of info. I know it's all speculation, but I'd love to see it if it is somewhere!

There's a post explaining rarities somewhere, I just do not know where it is. Rarities are determined by the ratio of pets on active accounts versus the number of active accounts.

You might find this link helpful. There's other links in the first postst as well. Just keep in mind they might be based off the old rarity system.

Horror's list is a condensed version of these rarity changes plus the colored pets (blue or red) to determine demand outliers. It's a very good idea to keep rarity and demand separate because it requires much less updating (the old list was a mess) and it gives people the chance to determine their own thoughts on demand.

understandable, as it would be entirely too long.
would it be alright if i made a companion to this guide with a visual store pet tier list?

I think it’s less to do with list length per-se, but moreso to do with the fact that store value is entirely demand driven and their actual rarity (mostly) isn’t comparable with pets on the standard list? Much like how high-demand lower-rarity pets are listed separately from the list. I hope that makes sense, and please correct me if I’m wrong!

Hmm. What about if peachy made a guide that was just a tiered list similarly formatted by the date that store pet turned OMGSR? With the usual cues for demand.

My understanding is that like other older pets store pets have had dates they have turned OMGSR as well. Perhaps the list could be based on that? And leave off ones we don't have info for, like newer pets? Or just use a pictured list to go over what Horror has posted on the first page using their years.

I think it'd be super useful to get a sense of store pet rarity vs. demand!

I think rarity change info could be particularly useful and I’d support the creation of a list like that!! For instance I know that certain stores like most ‘11 OMGSRs and the fairy rats only turned OMGSR with the last big update for instance, and I do reckon that info is importance as it does give insight as to just how many of those pets are out there.
