slightly off topic on the case of rarity guide, but for weeks i've been searching for a list of the store pet names so I can label them all correctly! the chickensmoothie wiki had only some of the names and I had to dig through species/months and it took so long i only managed to get up to 2012 before the names weren't listed - this thread with the section on store pets literally saved my sanity ^^

Slightly off topic too:

I don’t trade with big rarities because I don’t have the pets, but it’s interesting to read about them (I’m a bookworm)! The names are also interesting. I like to compare my names (what I used to call them before I knew they had names) to the official names.

I think the new look is great! I read through it the other day, and I really think it’s easier to look through, especially the first few pages (which I attribute entirely to the pictures/colors for myself. I’m a child)!

BTW I also love the picture lists and I think they can be even more helpful for newer users who may not know all of the pets’ names without a picture. ^^

I think once it's officially up there and the picture version is done, it's really gonna sink in for me how different it is. Like, putting that side by side with the old list would be nuts.

I'm also thinking of adding all the pets that turned VR in 2012 to the list pretty much straight away. And I'm going through the archives to list all the VR pets to at least have them in the history posts; whether the list ends up getting that long I'm not sure is necessary, but at least the data will be there for people to use as they please.

I think it would be so great if we could get more people to use this list as opposed to constantly going by demand - which from what I've seen currently, fluctuates like mad.
If we have something which is concrete - simply going by rarity - people can obviously apply demand to that, but it won't be as crazy as the current demand is.

Basically: Aurora, you're a gem. Thanks for working on this!

big agree that this would be a better base value system than ever-changing “demand.” I think it would really help players to have a factual common ground like this
