Close up of the eye. The main part, the largest ring in the middle, can twist open or closed to change the vision. The smaller the opening, the better long-distance sight the dog has. The larger the opening, the better it can see close-up. The green line on the bottom of the eye is a light sensor. The little openings on each side of the sensor open or close to adjust the amount of light that reaches the sight section of the computer, or the brain. The whole thing works a bit like the lens of a camera, though for some reason I was inspired by the little light on a microscope, because this is pretty much how it works.
