Adelaide drove up and down, left and right on the road. Not much farther, she kept telling herself. The woods, dark and bleak arose on either side of her. Daunting, eerie, no escape from their depths and corruption. As if on cue, delivered by some demonic host, a faint cloud appeared. Soon, the pastel turquoise vehicle was surrounded, drowned in blacks and greys. A murder of crows flapped, cawed, flapped, cawed. Adelaide Wiley panicked; she sped up the car, racing up and down once more on the road, the crazed cloud of birds frothing at the invisible mouth. (Adelaide used her skill: speed!)

Finally, she arrived more alert than intended. The house was sunken looking, seeping into the swampy ground. Squish, squelch, smoosh, smosh. Adelaide gazed at the house's ghostly exterior, sauntering up towards the crinkled door, moldy with age.
