This piece shows that though someone or something may be seperated from you, they are not forgotten, or not loved for that matter. If you keep someone in your heart, they will never be forgotten.
The thick band of red represents the thing seperating person number one (one of the hearts) and person number two (the other heart).
Though it might seem 'tacky,' it serves a good comfort to people going through a loss - like me - so don't rain on our parade; we're already sad enough.
