The bone Of ThunderHeart, foalons second milk giver

Postby ciitruus » Sat Jun 22, 2013 11:48 pm

This is the bone of Foalons second milk giver, a bear named ThunderHeart. I'm very pleased with how this turned out and I hope that this stays is the Intermediate Oekaki. Any comments on how I could make it better are greatly appreciated.

Another Wolves of The Beyond fan! Nice to see some Oekaki about it around the boards.

The shadow beneath it adds depth, but I have several ideas that could improve it if you fee the same way.

1.) Changing the color of the writing. This is mostly an opinion. If you wanted it to appear like it was carved, as part of the bone, you could use a darker shade of the bone's base color to give it depth and appear more as a carving.

2.) A background. Since the bone is a very light color, and darker background would look nice. I would suggest maybe a rocky or mountain setting. Although, if you'd like to give more depth to the story, you could make the background a river bank, like where she raised him. It could be in night or day, or winter or spring with the river. Whichever you think would fit best.

I hope these help but you don't have to change anything if you don't think they'd work, and good job. :)

Like they said ^
Use a color a little darker than the bone for the carving. Then add a dark background to help it stand out.
Also, i love those books. I own all six and ive read them all ten times. I email with Kathryn all the time too.

I knew someone would say to add a back ground first thing but if I drew a back ground this would prabalpy be kicked out of Intermediate Oekaki.
