I looked through the "Oekaki Help" link, but I couldn't find the answer to my question. How do you go back to your drawings to finish them?

    no.

EDIT: there is another way which i don't recommend - you save the finished picture and go on a art program that has layers and transparency. with the magic wand (if it has one), select the background(s) and erase. it'll leave a tiny white glow around the drawing unfortunately.

you go back to the category/forum of where you were drawing, click new drawing at the top, and at the bottom of the page, you will find your previous saved drawings.
if you were drawing in adoptable oekaki for example, you would go back to adoptable oekaki and go from there.

Do you mean that the guide says it or Oekaki?

If Oekaki tells you to install Java, you might have an old version and need to update it.

If it's the guide, it is because the guide is not personal nor can read what plugins you have.

The usage of layers isn't that complicated after you figure out the basics.

+ adds a layer
- removes the selected layer

There is also an opacity slider that affects how transparent a certain layer is.

I recommend that you draw a few lines on different layers and then try different settings. I myself am not quite sure what a few of the settings on layers do, but you can always PM me if you have any further questions! (:

I have Java installed, but when I open oekaki it says I don't. I have the latest version and I have checked multiple times.

Can you still use Oekaki or is it just a grey/black screen?

Have you enabled Java's plugin in your browser?

Is drawing things from creepypastas fine as long as there's no blood/gore?
