Hello. So, I'm trying to use Oekaki on my laptop. I know that Oekaki requires you to download Java in order to use it, but when I go to the link and click on the "Windows Online" version of Java and try to download it, it says "This file is designed for a PC using Windows software. This is not compatible your devise which runs Google OS. Please search the Chrome webstore for a suitable replacement app." I've never had this problem before, likely because my old computer was a Windows and apparently this one isn't? I love computers, but I'm not very good with them because I've always had hand-me-down ancient desktops my entire life. This is the first time I've ever had a newer devise. Anyway, I did some looking around, but I'm always wary of downloading things from sites that I know nothing about. Is there a Google Chrome Java download that is safe for me to use, or will I simply not be able to draw on Oekaki using this laptop?

hmm, that's because you run google os, and there's no java for it yet. it's like trying to use the oekaki on a phone. you just can't.

I bought a pro tablet and don't even have a computer to use it with.

So... I drew something in oekaki again, and -of course- I can't save it. Because I've been logged out... 'cause I was too inactive or smth. But that rly sucks x__x
The drawing is lost for oekaki, right?
But what can I do, that I can still save my drawings after drawing for half an hour or smth? :I
I don't want to keep doing stuff on chickensmoothie in another tab, while drawing... 'cause I'm sure I would forget about it and still end up not being able to save it ... >_>

What I usually do is keep another tab open to chicken smoothie and when you think it has kicked you off (after an hour or so), log in to the other tab and then hit the save button on oekaki. It's saved me plenty of times.

I would probably try to get a laptop instead of a netbook. What you have currently isnt a laptop computer. It's more like a phone. They're called netbooks and are basically tablets.

...I'm sure I didn't even draw for 20 Minutes, and It just didn't let me save it... an hour would be awesome. >__>' But well, I'll try this out - keeping a tab open. but i'm pretty sure I'll forget about it while drawing... xD If there only was another method to make me stay logged in longer...

Okay so I didn't see this up there but what if you wanted to use editable lines for adopts (and they allowed you to) how would you get it from editable oekaki to adoptable oekaki? Or would you even need to?

If a species is in Editable Oekaki (An 'open species') then created members will be moved to Colored In once they are made. If the species lines are in Adoptable Pets and the owner added you, then created members of that species will be moved to the Created Pets subforum automatically.

I'm still confused on how I actually GET to the Oekaki Board to draw things...

I have a problem with getting Oekaki.
On all my computers/laptops, I can't access Oekaki,
It says I must download a Java Plug-in.
On my main computer, I downloaded and installed Java,
But it still won't work.
It says 'Drawing on the Oekaki requires the Java plug-in to be installed in your web browser.'
Though I already installed it.
It still won't let me draw, and it's getting really frustrating.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
