Mayhaps these kindsa guardians are sent to guard specific chosen people, sorta like the Visions and people in Geshin Impact
Perhaps there's a power level system of sorts that shows up as a certain little thing/charm somewhere on the guardian's body as an accessory; e.g. this guy's would be the bead things on both sides of his mask - it'd be four for him, level four, maybe?
