You don't have to hover it. You just press down on the board,and it should work. Hovering is only for when you're trying to pick up stuff.

But then a Orange light appears. It still wont work. (What does hovering mean? I forgot XP)

You just hold it above the pad and the cursor moves.
The orange light means that it's working...
