Now, I'm not completely sure. But from my understanding.. Meme's are just something funny or pointless (most of the time both) that get really popular and people start doing or saying...

Like planking..
or in Skyrim a line says "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow to the knee" therefore starting the meme of people saying things and ending it with "..but then I took an arrow to the knee."

If that's wrong, I haven't got a clue! :lol:
