the guy was going to have an abyss body, solid black and whispy, he would be able to hide in the shadows easily and cause troubles for people just for fun, stuff like making you trip on air or having snow fall on your head as you head under a tree in winter. i ended up not liking his final concept and not wanting to try again -after resketching him 3 times you might understand why-
