Sort of inspired by that one Black Butler OVA with Alois and the butterfly he was so cruel to...
This was rather fun, although coloring Alois was such a chore XP
For the butterfly, I searched "butterfly" in Google images and used the pretty blue one as a ref.
I do not own Alois Trancy.
Timer is off by a bit, because I was doing other things.
EDIT: Holy cow, didn't notice that this was moved to intermediate! I feel so flattered!

For the least amount of time, it has a lot of detail in it. I love it, very very nice work on it. :3 Wish I could do a butterfly that well, I think if I even tried I would fail epicly... I want to try now though! =_=
The eyes are the window into the soul, the emotion that flows from them speaks volumes without a word spilling from their lips.

It was sort of a "I've never drawn a realistic butterfly before so this is gonna fail- Hey, it looks awesome!" moment type of thing... What I did was make the shading and stuff as close to the ref as possible, but was a little freer with the colors.
