So should we avoid accepting gifts from people at the moment?

For the time being, I recommend to refrain from accepting gifts or more so, trading pets you got from gifts. There are possibly more compromised accounts, so it's better safe than sorry. It's not easy to tell who's compromised and who isn't so I wouldn't get too comfortable with gifts. [I personally got 2 OMGSRs and more in a gift and had those taken from me lol.]
Unless you know the person gifting personally!

I can't help but feel bad for the hacked user, a (possibly) deleted account caused by something they couldn't control would suck.

ah so it's the admins. I thought it was the hackers who were reversing trades.

woohoo! more announcements! nick has been hard at work and it shows. <3 the reversed trades thread has been quiet and i haven't caught anything suspicious, so i truly hope that this marks the end of this fiasco. regardless, remember to keep a safe (and unique!) password online!
