Shane looked at the setting sun, a far away look in is translucent eyes.
"I-it's been a w-while since I've sssssseen and sunset. . ." he murmured to Kori. The young girl stretched out a hand to him. The wolf nudged it with his muzzle gently.
"Don't you ever see them in the Spirit World?" she asked. Shane nodded.
"Sometimes. . . It's u-usually dark there though. . ." he said, shifting into his human form. Kori sighed.
"That sound depressing. . ." she muttered. Shane chuckled quietly.
"Yeah," he said, "But I d-don't mind it. The darkness h-hides me from the o-o-others."
"You never answered my question, Shane," Kori said after a few minutes of silence.
"Which one?"
"What's the Well of Souls?"
"Ah, that one. . ." Shane murmured, "It's a holding place for soon-to-be-recycled souls. . . I'm hoping that one day m-mine will end up there. . ."
