alright so hear me out. alien pets.

these little fellas are Aviloes, more commonly referred to as bugs by their owners. They're a domesticated alien species and are a very popular house pet. Because of their large eyes and ears and their antenna strenghtening their senses, these guys can see and hear just about anything. On their tail is a little round chime, whose tinking can soothe humans and other bugs, much like a cat's purring. They behave a lot like a blend of cats and dogs, and are often mistaken for either of them. A regular Aviloe is about the size of a large dog, like a german shepherd. Their collars are essentially what makes them domesticated, and without it they easily become aggressive towards humans. They struggle a bit with understanding human language and commands, but are overall a very intelligent species.

the smaller fella is a different "breed" of Aviloe, referred to as a "buggy". These are much more heavily domesticated and sport smaller ears and eyes and a short tail with no chime. They are also born without sharp claws, making them a very safe pet overall. In exchange for this, they are much better at understanding human language and a lot calmer, to the point where they don't need the collars that the regular Aviloes do. While they're very distinct by size and fur length, some owners are known to style their buggies like regular Aviloes for shows or events.


i may remake the lines (especially for the buggies) and clear up some physical aspects if/when they are released, but for now i'd love to hear your thoughts on the concept as is!! if you're interested in a position like moderator, archivist or general staff (i still haven't figured out all the positions yet) please send me a pm about your experience and what you think you can contribute <3

i LOVE these little dudes. i would personally like to have one! i don't have many OCs but i have been really hungry for a good design, and these critters blend a lot of aspects of different earthly species in an adorable & compelling way. i'd like to see more about them, or have one, or at least watch you create more!
they could have little flying saucer shaped beds to sleep in,,,, and have chew toy balls that look like a planet....

to clarify i'm interested in both versions of the species and i think both versions existing is good! i don't feel like you need to have just one version.

These definitely caught my eye. I love the cute chime at the end of their tails (I honestly thought it was a small planet) and don't get me started on the small version, boy I'd just squish that cute little thing it's so adorable, I vote for this as a species
