Beryl seems to be a standoffish and quiet cat once you first meet him, but that's due to his past experiences with people befriending him just to use his luck for themselves. He's not great at making friends, but once you get to know him he is a super-sweet, happy and bouncy cat!
He grew up in the forest, with no one knowing of his parents, not even himself. He raised himself, seeing as as soon as he could eat other food his mom left him. The only thing he remembers about his mom was that she smelled of the sweetest flower in the forest. He had to teach himself how to do everything, from hunting to swimming to eating clovers. Luckily, since he was so lucky, it came to him easily. The other animals in the forest most of the time stayed away from him, not wanting anything to do with him. He seemed weird to them, due to his unnatural coloring. They thought that it was ironic that the luckiest cat on the planet didn't know either of his parents and had no friends. The only 'friends' he ever had had used him for his luck. He lived in the forest, alone, searching for his mother, whom he never found.
