This is great!

Though, note: unlike points, the color on the points of any mocha are not necessarily al,ways the full base color (in this case black), they vary a lot in appearance across all mocha genotypes. (I mistakenly thought it was just cmcm mochas that varied so greatly, but more recent pictures show that's not the case) personally, I suspect polygenic interaction but that's neither here nor there.

Its certainly something I wanted to make note of when i go back and edit the descriptions! With the points im trying to kinda show the maximum or at least the average visual for them and tend to also disregard most kitten photos, simply because a lot of the time colors tend to change.

It certainly would make sense for a polygenic interaction! I wish there was a more cohesive space involving cat genetics, its so hard to find visual references let alone up to date gene references and theories.

Another issue with points is that they can be highly seasonal- the partial albinism is temperature-sensitive, so it even changes by region. It's definitely hard to keep track of the constant progress, and especially finding examples with accurate genetic descriptions. There's so much individual nomenclature unique to catteries it's crazy.

Oh for sure! Points are kinda the start of just painfully trying to find something consistent within the cat genetics and why i chose to do it as one of the last basic sets.
