About the Species
Mystic Hounds, formally known as Country Hounds are rare, special Hounds found in the countryside. These Hounds are not your typical canine. Mystical Hounds are purely magical spirits, who can live just like a real canine. These spirits have one, or more rarely, two elements. Only the following elements have been found in Mystic Hounds: Air, Fire, Water, Earth, Darkness, Light, Metal and Nature. These are less commonly identified by their pelt and markings, and always identified by their elemental mark on the back thigh. These hounds commonly have unnatural colorings and markings, although some have been found to look like real canines.
The Elements
Air ~ The Marking must be related to the air, whether wings or wind lines, it must be bold and visible. It must be in White outlined in black.
Fire ~ The Marking must be a flame, doesn't matter the shape. It must be in the traditional colors of a flame (Red, Orange, Yellow) outline in black.
Water ~ The Marking must be either waves or a drop off water. It must be a shade of Blue and outlined in black.
Earth ~ The Marking must be related to the earth, whether dirt or stone. It must be in an Earthy brown color.
Darkness ~ The Marking must be in the shape of a Crescent Moon and colored in black. No Lines should be visible in this marking.
Light ~ The Marking must be in the shape of the Sun in a Pale Yellow, outline in White.
Metal ~ The Marking must be a Barbed Wire in a circle. It must be a steel gray and outlined in black.
Nature ~ The Marking must be an element of Nature, such as a flower or grass. It must be in the traditional colors of that natural plant/species, such as shades of Greens.
About the Pups
The Pups are Usually born without a Marking until they are of Elemental Age (Adult). However their first two days they will have a blanket revealing their element. If you miss this stage of their life time don't worry, we'll have it marked in their info.
Pups usually inherit the Element of their father, however some may inherit their mothers, or both.
When Breeding, Elements don't have to match, however, Fire and Water, Fire and Nature, Dark and Light, Air and Fire, as well as Fire and Metal CANNOT breed. This is part of the Elemental Weakness. Fire is weakened by Water, and so on...
