Something between 3 art projects that aren't for me, sorry if you're waiting lolNear a metal mountain, the legend recalls a hidden, yet thundering voice. The voice called out to a strange, fleeting creature, "Where ever you tread, disaster will follow you. For a certainty, until your final breath, you will never find--nor create--peace."
It then proceeded, "Further more, desolation will lurk a step before you, and destruction will trail a step behind you. As you flee, you will devastate and burn the lands you taint with your presence."
The beast spared a moment to retort in a confident and angered tone, "What is done cannot be undone, if you decide I must be destroyed, so be it." the creature paused. "My purpose will be fulfilled."
(Will probably add a few things later--)
.: Design & other notes :.
- Birth-- Ki's are born to all kinds of felines and canines. They are changed by an invasive illness, which is caused when an expecting mother comes into contact with a strange patch of flowers. The illness affects only the unborn, modifying the offspring before their birth. Because of their oddity and the rumor of legend, Ki's may not find a place in their families, and often fail to survive.
-- The flower mentioned was manipulated some how. It's appearance mocks forget-me-not flowers, though they are lighter in tone. In wetter, colder climates, they appear blue. In dryer, hotter climates, they appear red. If the environment is varied, the colors may change with the season. Though the flower is what causes the Ki's appearance, it is largely unknown.
- Body types-- Consistent traitsKi's tend to exhibit these traits most frequently, though there are many variants: Sleek, flexible bodies. Oversized ears. Slightly large paws. Haired tails. Mostly natural fur, but unnaturally colorful blood, skin, and accent markings. Some also have unnaturally colored eyes.
-- Canines VS FelinesThe canine's features are sharper, whilst felines exhibit rounder features.
Bone mass, fur length, and height will depend on their parents.
- Blood and Flame- Blood and internal temperaturesKisuna have much higher internal temperatures than other creatures, should you touch their skin, it would feel like a high fever. Blood color varies by individual, and will be one of the following: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, or White. In addition, there are legends of a Ki exhibiting a rainbow flame. The blood color directly affects the regular internal temp of the individual--Red being coolest, and white being hottest.
- Flames, fight or flight? When Ki's are put under extended physical or emotional stress, their internal temperature increases, and flames burst forth in an effort to defend themselves, ward off fever/overheating, and/or to flee from a dangerous situation. Generally, this is beyond their own control. Though, it is not unheard of for some Ki's to master both the use and summoning of their flames.
In addition, flames that persist for an over extended period of time may cause exhaustion or even unconsciousness. The flames rapidly dissipate off of the bodies of Ki, so unless they are intentionally attempting to light something aflame, or are extendedly idle, most of their environment is unaffected--besides the immediate temperature.
