After his father's death (due to age or other reasons), despite bein a warrior of his own, and having his mama around he somehow cannot cope with it, and Cy's passing triggers emotions, unlocking a new persona type. He often feels lost, like the world and time is slipping from him and he cannot do anything about it. So he's left chasing it in an endless cycle as well as desperation not to be alone. So Trinity is often found to stick with his mother when he's home. and Once Cy passes he will begin to worry relentlessy everytime Jay steps away or is just out of sight (even if it's just around the corner and her tail shows) Because he's afraid to lose her too.
He becomes almost oblivious to the fact he cannot control it. And she knows it so she's nnot questioning his actions or behavior, and he will also often tell her what's bothering him when she asks.
