You are travelling up a mountain when you hear a distinct roar, it was throaty and sounded closer, maybe too close. You walk towards the sound, ignoring all the attempts of the rational side of your brain to stop, then there before you appears a cave. There are jewels scattered across the ground and some are indented into the walls, but there in the corner there is a creature, as you can see its' body slowly moving up and down. You walk towards it, not thinking as you have no idea what it is, as you get closer it lets out another throaty but dry roar. Closer and closer you get, you go to reach forward to touch it but as you do so you kick a rock and it hits a wall and creates a loud bang. The creature head bolts up, and its' body follows, it towers over you as you look up to be greeted with a strange smile from the creature. You take a couple steps backwards trying to see the creature at its' fullest, as its' head nearly hits the top of the cave it walks towards you, making you step back again and again. Slowly you both enter the sunlight and breeze, it stalks out of the cave and just as you get a good look at it, it rushes off up, higher onto the mountain.

Shep's Tale:
Being born pure black, Hatshepsut did not fair well in the desert heat she lived in. As a young pup, her parents adorned her in cloaks to protect her from the sun's rays, but it didn't help. She wanted to play with the other pups, but her parents insisted otherwise. Tired of being cooped up all day, she snuck out the window and ran towards the dry river bed, where the pups gathered to play. Shep was determined to be a normal pup for once in her life despite the harsh temperatures. While she had fun for awhile, she quickly passed out in the heat. When she did, something unusual happened. The dirt underneath her transformed into water! The cool liquid woke Shep out of her stupor. She looked around the river, seeing it slowly fill with water again. But why? She quickly ran out of the way, as the flow of water increased. The town quickly gathered around the site and around Hatshepsut. They were in awe about the river, but for some reason they also wouldn't take their eyes of Shep. She took a glance at her reflection to see that the gold from the bottom the river had formed into her fur, creating complex runes and gilding her mane and back. The town wrapped up the pup in a towel to dry her off and took her directly to the palace for the pharaoh. After the pharaoh heard the miracles that unfolded, her entire family was brought in. Hatshepsut was a goddess in their eyes, and she brought the entire city back from the brink of death and saved them from the drought of the river.


The Meaning of Shep's Runes:
It says Adopt Me! above her. Starting at her tail and working towards her head, it says life death love hope power. Her legs say (starting at the back left and working forward) wrong right yes no.


Personality:
She is a strong willed and courageous leader. She cares deeply for her people, and always goes out of her way to help them. In her free time she likes to play with the children of her hometown town and teaches them all about the history and the past pharaohs. She also enjoys travelling around her entire land to meet her people and learn the plights each town was having.

Tomb approached a towering pyramid. It was said to be laid with danger and he wanted to find the treasure. Well the main reason was that he lost a bet. Sighing, he plunged into darkness.Wandering for what seemed like hours, he finally approached a room with many doors. Luckily he knew how to read markings. Reading them, he knew he had to guess the right door. He was awful at guessing. Studying each door carefully, he finally picked the least beautiful one, an old trick to get people to pick the most beautiful instead. Opening the door, he ran inside a world of treasure! In joy, he bounced into the room and picked out a few pieces of jewelry that suited him. He looked up as sun shone into the room. The sun had shined at it's highest peak into a hole in the roof. He turned as his long old scars turned to pure gold! Surely losing the bet was the best thing ever!
