These lines were made by Khaos0, all credit to them.
I managed to snag these gorgeous lines and I'm going to start developing them into a species of
draft/working horses. I don't really know a lot yet, so I want to take my time and be through as
I work on them.
Name suggestions are nice. C:
I'm leaning away from 'something something drafts' type stuff, since I want these guys to be unique.
These horses are built for work, but often make wonderful riding animals and companions. They are rather large, spanning from 13 all the way up to the 'royal' line which can reach 20 hands. (This number threatens the tallest horse).
Intelligent and rather complacent, these horse are reliable and can be trained to do most anything including western, english, show, saddle seat, eventing, working and so much more.
They will have some type of rare deities who take the shape of a horse. These will be heavily edited rare colored horses who will have unlimited breeding spots until they reach a certified age. They can represent things like life, death, or even the horses of the apocalypse. Though the horses will have enough no supernatural power, they tend to relate to their type.
These horses come in all equine colors, and can also show any pattern. Selective breeding has led to many variations of the same coat to be made, so each horse is differnt than the last. They do have some odd genetics that often show in their coats. The flaxen part of the chestnut is stronger than the actual pigment of the mane, and even of the horse isn't a chestnut the mane will be flaxen. There is also a new phenomenon where large patches of color, having to do with the splash gene, are placed on the body. This usually results on a half white horse, with one area of their body selected.
These horses are fairly prolific and can breed around 4 times a month. Each horse will have 10 breeding slots and after that perks must be used to get them. At an artists discretion, a horse can be made to only have X number of slots to avoid making a rare marking more common. Breeding occurs between a stallion and a Mare, and if same sex breeding is wanted am item would need to be purchased, as this does not occur naturally and could have harmful affects on the foal.
The horses enjoy animal companionship and are hardy enough to hold their own against most anything. They originated from a large part of the russia/Siberia area and therefore can withstand cold but are no more indiffernt to heat than the common horse. They were once used as royal animals to carry information as well as goods across the country. The royal bloodline is still alive, and often contains rare and highly sought after markings that do not appear anywhere else. These animals rarely need shoes since their feet have grown to be hard and very adaptive to their surroundings. The horses also enjoy swimming and are quite good for a heavy horse breed.
They do not have any particular dietary needs but all of these horses seem to enjoy beets as treats. They also enjoy normal treats but should not be over fed or the heaviness will hinder them. Owners must always keep sufficient water supply out since these horses drink a ton more water when they are warm.
