The Bacintus

Postby qwertyo » Fri Dec 05, 2014 4:05 pm

Reference thing for a oldish species of mine , first seen here.

This species is called a bacintus ( baa-sin-tiss ) and they're basically earless cat things. They live in the same world as pallio dogs.

Ooooo! I love the crest of fur on the tops of their heads and that long rat-like tail. <3

Are they bigger or smaller than Pallio dogs?

Thank you! And I really love designing species, expect more of them, I need to fill up the pallio world w/ some more fauna/flora anyways.

They're smaller! Pallios are about the size of a wolf and bacintuses are the size of a large cat

Thanks!

And that's a good question.

In the anthro world, they commonly act as a companion or pet. I don't intend on having these be anthro like the other species.

In the feral world, they're not really enemies with pallios. They wouldn't really encounter each other in the wild. Pallios have a different diet than bacintuses. Pallios eat mainly large herbivores (elk size) and fruits/nuts/seeds/plants. Bacintuses eat small animals (mouse size), birds, and fish only. So they don't compete for food.
