I know Hayden runs through a lot of fire, but why exactly does he need the gasmask?

Edit - I swear my tablet has some sort of auto correct. I type one thing, then post it and realize it posted another. Like I put "the gasmask" but it came up as "to gasmask" -_-

He's been messing around with creating his own form of fire starters, many of which contain various chemicals, not all non-toxic. That plus all the smoke he's been inhaling really isn't good for him, so Medic gave him a gasmask. Honestly I didn't question it at the time because it's Medic. But Hayden seemed happy so I let him keep it :)

Edit- don't ya just love auto-correct? It gets me practically every word
