Kodiak is a silent, questioning Soturie. He feels that he shouldn't deserve to be 'royalty' unless he earns it, and hates the fact that someone can just be born into such a high rank.
Kodiak feels that the true way to success is through work, and is very 'tolerant' physically. He will keep his emotions contained inside of him, and isn't very trusting at first; once he does trust you, however, Kodiak will continue to trust you until he has a reason not to.

Short Story

"Leave me alone."
His yellow eyes looked at the other Soturie. This other soturie, too, was just a pup; just like Kodiak.
The trees swayed in the breeze, the silence eerie and scary to the other pup. Kodiak merely looked away, calm still. His fur gave a hallowed ruffle in the wind; the other Soturie pup had a frightened look on his face. Being friends with one of the heirs; it was something Kodiak despised. It was something empty-hearted, mindless, conceited Soturies would do. In truth, they weren't that bad; but Kodiak couldn't stand it. He was silent; a thinker. Kodiak admired everything around him, and felt those only 'pure' enough could come close to him.
The pup gave a whine; Kodiak merely sat still, firmly re-speaking the words.
"Leave me alone."

That pup ran off, tail in between his heels; Kodiak gave a tired sigh. He wished he wasn't royalty; Kodiak wanted to earn friends for them to actually be friends, not because they wanted to get higher in ranking.
"Hello, young one." A voice startled Kodiak, making his fur puff before he slowly looked to see his mother.
"Hello, mother." Kodiak said, before looking to the sky and the iridescent stars again. Ru slowly walked and sat down next to Kodiak, wrapping her tail around him. He couldn't help but give a small smile.
"I love you, mom."
Ru smiled, before nudging him.
"I love you too, my little Kodiak."
