I like the idea of auctions, but I would maybe make an auto or cap it at a cretin time?
a lot of people will go nuts over those hehe

Suggestions;

Long, flowery species with scales and multiple eyes or multiple wings (any type)
Maybe larger claws/paws or bipedal?
Long ears and fluffy flower-like manes would be really cute too ;v;
Fish!! I rarely see fish themed adopts around and would love to see a few omg
