Update!
All the dog coat genes have visual representation at this point, and a few posts have a little more on the genes or mutations present themselves. Every set ive done that focuses in the post on the genes themselves has their listing genes in their currently known dominance listing.

As a poster was disappointed i would not be doing horse genetics, ive provided a free to use horse coat post i saw a while back that may be helpful!

I will be returning to cat genetics when i can but keep in mind the next sets are very under researched and may not have a lot of information available on said gene and will take longer.

Update!

I won't be going onto the non coat/marking sets just yet and may take a while to finish with cats due to the final known genes being more complex or untested!

However I discovered something and had to change information i had down on the Silver/Gold cat set. The 'Corin' gene is known to affect the coat causing the golden effect in certain tested breeds, and so I will be going based on that. "Wideband" is not technically just 1 gene and is a cluster of polygenes, currently known to be Corin and Inhibitor. However this explains Bimetallic cats! As such an example of a bimetallic cat is present on the Corin set for anyone interested in knowing how those look.

I am slowly but surely working on the descriptions and they will be full of the information needed to understand the gene along with the dominants/recessives known, theorized, or simplified associated with the coat if possible.

Small Update!

Not much of note here however due to some research i've been doing I've had to update and separate the Eumelanin colors in dogs from the Pheomelanin colors in dogs to separate guides. I've replaced the old Pheomelanin range on the first color guide with the known Cocoa color variants in French Bulldogs and some example color variation in liver and isabella.

The new Pheomelanin color guide has the known KITLG color range as well as the Intensity color range, with the usual coat range in the middle.

Its been a minute since i've worked on these, but I want to make sure i know how i want to go about the less color-marking related traits before i do those guides!

If there is any specific gene or trait that y'all want to see that isn't listed on the lists in the first post feel free to request it! I still have yet to go back over the other guides with text blurbs but i'll be sure to let anyone know if there is a trait i've done thats just mentioned or if a trait will be in another future guide.
