@grim the wolf: just experiment. I drew the fur-lines first then put more or less the same colour in the background, just a tad lighter. Where i wanted shadows i just put a lot of lines while highlights are short of 'em. then a layer of black on top to make some deeper shadows - set to low opacity ^^ something like that... but i guess practising and experimenting is the key ;) good luck!
