My fav thing bout fall is smelling the cinnamon pumpkin air, and taking walks in the forests, hearing the satisfying crunch of my bare feet on the fallen leaves ( I just don’t like shoes okay?)

Something fun about fall? I would love to say the cliché fall activities like going to pumpkin patches and apple orchards, because I do love doing those fun things. However, I'm going to have to say that one of my favorite fun fall activities that is very specific to the my family's farm. For as long as I can remember fall has been a time of harvest, meaning it is the busy time of year for everyone! The guys who can combine spend long hours harvesting grain and corn, and I always enjoy riding with them when I bring them meals and snacks. Another fun part of fall on our farm is that it is when we calve in the largest group of cows, which means we have so many adorable baby calves all at the same time! Currently we have about 18 heifer calves and about 12 bull calves, and we are only half way through the fall calving! Some of the best moments of my day are feeding the calves on a crisp fall morning when frost glitters on the hutches and their breath clouds the air.

Also how can we not talk about the smell of corn and leaves in the air? If you've never been in the country during fall to smell corn maturing, you need to...it smells so good!
