Names:
Bone Spines
Mountain Jumpers
Pool Jumpers
Hook Eyes
Lore starters/ ideas:
-they live in caves and collect bones, treasure, strange items made my humans
-they live in isolation, and are asexual so they don’t need mates to produce eggs/ live birth. They grow embryos on their tails, and when the baby is really they burst out and start out to find their own cave after living with the mother for 1 human year, so the mother can teach the child their language, reading and writing, and survival skills
-they are very territorial, they would rather kill their own kind then share
-they can decide to mate, but it has no effect on life style
-They are somewhat intelligent, creating tools from rocks and sticks, however no technology
-only females are able to grow embryos, making males useless
-Females are larger and stronger then males, females are more respected
-they can read and write in their own language passed from the mother to the child
These are just ideas! I hope you like them!

plateskull lizards. sentient but not sapient, they are the size of bobcats, with the intelligence of dogs. while lizard is in their name, this species is not related to lizards at all, instead evolving from an early species of six-finned proto-fish, their middle pair of fins evolving into large wings. plateskull lizards cannot fly with these wings, but can glide from treetops. males have rich crimson, navy, umber and cinnamon wings, tailblades and throats, while females, and the rest of the males' bodies, are generally more drab greys, browns, and blacks.
males are extremely competitive, especially during the mating season. they inflate their brightly coloured chests like bullfrogs, flapping their wings, rearing up and bellowing to attract females. when two males cross paths, they will engage in brutal battle, swinging their tails into each other's wings, necks and faces. the female will choose the loudest, most brightly coloured male to mate with, and lays many leathery-shelled eggs, which both the male and female protect until the hatchlings enter adolescence.
