for a background you should do a forest, but have it somewhat blured out so the focus will be on the wolf. Awesome job, i love the wolf!

I envy your shading skills it is truly amazing! The only thing I recommend is there needs to be more of a dip between the brow and the bridge of the nose but over all this is an amazing drawing! I can't wait to see it finished. It belongs in intermediate with the abilities you have and deserves a feature! ^_^
