welcome to shiloh's sanctuary.
a rescue for unwanted original characters that are moving on to new homes.

essentially, this is a pound for character designs you wish to surrender and donate to the community of chicken smoothie!

how this works

• if you are surrendering a design, you simply have to fill out the form on the second page titled 'character surrender form'. it is required that the design is explicitly stated by the original creator to be transferable.
  
  
  
• credit to the artist/s of the design is required - we do not accept designs without clear origins. things like base line art artist, designer, and species owner are to be linked.
  
  
• once the character is submitted and accepted, you thereby give up the rights to the character to the sanctuary. they will remain here until they find new ownership.
  
  
  
• characters will be released in batches - if there is an abundance of ocs in the shelter then they will be placed in a queue, to be put in future releases.
  
  
  
• by surrendering your character you are allowing for design changes/revamps to help make them more appealing to potential adopters. i will try to stay true to the spirit of the design, but will put my own spin on it.
  
  
  
• you may specify conditions that possible adopters must follow when applying for the character.
  
  
  
  how to adopt
• find a character you are interested in and from the second page, fill out the form titled 'character adoption application'.
  
  
  
• we run on an 'impress me' basis - you can decorate your form and be as detailed as you want with your stories and art. we are looking for effort and a clear love being put into the work to earn the design. you may ask for help or criticism on your work to help improve it further before the codedrop.
  
  
  
• during the code drop of the current batch, winners will be announced. a credits system will be implemented for those that put effort into their form but are not chosen as the winner - collect enough credits and you will be able to bypass making an adoption form and buy any design you can afford, even those in the queue. these credits cannot be bought with CS pets or any other currency, only through effort from honorable mentions.

By purchasing, adopting, or otherwise obtaining art or characters from me, you agree to the following terms and conditions:


1. **Resale Terms**

- You may not resell the character or artwork for more than you originally paid unless you have commissioned additional artwork for the character.

- If additional commissioned artwork has been added, you may resell the character for the original purchase price plus the cost of the commissioned art.


2. **Usage Rights**

- You may use the character in any personal or commercial projects as long as the content is not hateful, discriminatory, or harmful.

- Modifying the character for personal use is allowed, but credit for the original design must still be given.


3. **Credit**

- Credit me, Shortfurry, as the original creator of the character in any public display or usage.

- Where applicable, provide a link to my portfolio or social media.


4. **Prohibitions**

- Do not claim the character or artwork as your own original creation.

- Do not steal, trace, or heavily reference the artwork for creating new characters or art without permission.


5. **Non-Refundable**

- All sales are final. No refunds will be issued once the transaction is complete.


6. **Commercial Use**

- For commercial use of the character or artwork (e.g., merchandise, games, branding), additional terms may apply. Please contact me directly to discuss commercial rights and licensing.


7. **Transfer of Ownership**

- Upon resale, the new owner must agree to these terms. Provide them with a copy of this T.O.S.

- Notify me of the transfer, providing details of the new owner.


8. **Respectful Use**

- Use the character in a respectful manner. Avoid associating it with controversial, political, or offensive content.


9. **Amendments**

- I reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Changes will apply to all future transactions and will be updated on my official platforms.
