meowdy! i have some suggestions mayhaps!
my characters can be found here! (they're all furries but i have background ideas for them!! i'm also not the best with bgs but i've been thinking 'gosh wouldn't character X look SO COOL in a background themed to their personality??? that would be awesome' but then i don't do it because. background phobia real. but i thought i might pitch my concepts to you and see if they strike you as interesting enough to give a shot?)

dream + starrium - lying on top of a hill, stargazing. probably on top of a picnic blanket, with an astronomy book to the side with constellations marked on the pages. other prop ideas include: a telescope, some snacks, some emotional support stuffies. they're both angels who've since fallen to earth, so they're sweet but spacey guys.

spooksy - pumpkin patch time!! as a halloween character i feel spooksy LIVES to be in the pumpkin patch, or a haunted house, or something like that! or she has this pocket dimension she lives in that's a carnival / circus ground but halloween colors (black, orange, purple) and it would be SO cool to see someone's take on that.

salem - in a garden of blue roses. i can't explain why, i think it would just be a cool visual! salem loves gardening, but is awful at it. additionally, salem can see ghosts and is a medium-- maybe that's why the blue roses stick out to me? because they're kind of pale and almost ephemeral/ghostly looking? that or you could draw him in a plushie / blanket fort-- he's a nervous lil guy and he collects stuffies.

jae - drawing her in a themed bedroom could be really cool! jae is very into anime / manga and other such things! she collects cute plushies and i imagine she'd have a room with tons of art prints and neat knick knacks like figurines and gacha -- so it could be cool experimenting with that!

seadeam - at the beach! she's an aquatic feline, so her having a beach day would be very cool! additionally, she's a fae spirit and she's tethered to a wishing well (she lives at the bottom of it, and if people toss coins in and she likes their wish, she just might grant it) -- so her in the wishing well could also be SUPER cool.

kashmir - sitting on a park bench reading, when a little butterfly comes up to land on his nose or on his book. maybe with some pretty flowers at the foot of the bench and some little birds. he loves reading in the park and just watching the nature.

Not totally a dragon but this guy is a Viscet, which is a closed species that are basically just velociraptor dogs, which can be drawn more dinosaur like which is vaguely similar to dragon (I think)! I also have this girl apart of the same species, who has some pretty snazzy long hair!
