This little lovely, I had designed specifically without a gender or a name. This is for you to decide what you would like to do with it. However, I do ask that if you decided you do not want this as an OC of yours, to let me know because otherwise I would like to keep it.
The furry is based off an African Created porcupine, however it has some of my own little touches on it as well as other porcupines I've made. For this reason, I decided I wanted to make it a fictional species of porcupine known as the Canaan Porcupine. So, a little more back ground of the species:
The Canaan Porcupine is around the same size as an African Crested Porcupine, sometimes being larger or smaller than their average size. The crest on the Canaan Porcupine's head is made of soft, fibrous hairs, unlike other crested porcupines. The crest is raised for impressing mates and looking bigger than it really is. Unlike other porcupines as a species, the Canaan porcupine's fur is very soft around the face, ears, neck, stomach, all legs, and upper back around the shoulder region. Sharp quills make up the fur covering the back end of the porcupine. In addition, the Canaan porcupine has larger ears than other porcupines that act like a ventilation system. The Canaan porcupine is designed to live in dry, arid places such as deserts and savannahs. The porcupine is a somewhat common sight in it's native lands across the Middle East. Canaan porcupines are very friendly and confident creatures as well as being agile runners and strong burrowers. Canaan porcupines make rather simple exotic pets and are seen as such mostly in Israel, as well as being used by the Israeli Defense Forces for undisclosed but probably silly reasons, due to their intelligence. Although unproven, scientists have been looking into seeing if the quills act like a biochemical defense system as the Canaan porcupine are severely underequipped compared to other species.
