Separate board for USD art/character sales?

I've noticed that a lot of art shops and character sales posts pretty much ONLY accept USD- even if they have pet/C$ prices listed somewhere, every time I see them they say something along the lines of "only USD slots open", or all of the characters they are linking for sale ONLY have prices in USD.
I have nothing against USD sales as a whole, I make money from my art sometimes also, but it just makes it really frustrating to sift through when the board descriptions specifically say "using CS pets/items/C$ as payment". That's why I come here, instead of looking on platforms that emphasize USD sales- I am looking for things that I can buy with CS stuff. If not a separate board, then at least maybe change the descriptions of the boards?

ETA: I am aware USD-only shops are not allowed. I just don't really know how else to suggest a change when the issue is that they technically have CS stuff as a payment option in their thread/for one character on their posts, but every time I see them they ONLY have USD slots open or are only selling USD characters. it feels like a lot of people are using one character out of 10+ or a payment option that is listed but not available to circumvent the rules.
Again, I have no issue with people asking for money or making money from their art. It just... isn't what these forums were made for. I remember being younger and that wasn't even allowed here, whereas now it's all I see. A new board is the only thing I can think of since I know reporting those threads won't fix the problem since they aren't technically breaking the rules, to look at them- besides a rule stating that if USD slots are open, then CS slots must be? I don't know how to fix the problem, only that it IS a problem. At least, to me.

Just to clarify, if you see an art shop which has both CS payment and USD payment options, but they are only opening the USD payment options, that is something you can report. CS payment options are always supposed to be available as otherwise we don't consider it relevant to be advertising it on our forums, since our site is intended for a younger audience that is usually not going to have access to USD to spend for that. Thats why we suggest that if user wants USD only than they should instead find places intended for adults where they can advertise, or keep it to their signature.

And just in general if you suspect an art shop or character shop is specifically trying to circumvent this rule by only technically following it but making it difficult to actually be able to use the CS payment option, those can be reported as well and the site moderators can look into it (if there are more than just a couple you want to report though, I'd suggest sending a ticket with a list of them instead, its easier to track than a bunch of reports).

Does this include shops that have USD options and C$ options, but the C$ options are so astronomically out of sync with the USD options, that it feels like the prices are set to prevent people from being willing to spend C$. Say the art is $10 USD but the C$ price is 700C$+, which almost $40 or more in the shop. I have seen a lot more of these lately and it feels like just another way to circumvent the rules for no USD only shops. It seems like there should be an acceptable range of percent in which C$ can be more than the USD price. So if the art is $10 USD, then it can only top off at say, a 10% mark up, which feels more than reasonable, so the C$ value would be about 175C$.

It has become so discouraging to try to do commissions here anymore because of the wild pricing and all the USD rule skirting. I used to love to collect art from all manner and all skill levels of artist, but now it's just a chore to sort through shops for people who even take pets or C$ without these astronomical jumps in value between C$ and cash.

I get that C$ technically has less value because it's just a digital currency here on a single site, but again, as you stated, if people only want USD, they should find somewhere else to market. Honestly I'd love just banning cash sales on Chicken Smoothie at all and instead let people advertise off site commissions in a different forum, maybe an art discussion or like, a forum just for showing off your work, where you can add a link to a CS compliant page for your commissions.

personally, as someone that has moderately affordable pet/c$ art prices and no usd payment options, i think they should stay. there are many artists on chickensmoothie who would feel much less motivated to spend 12+ hrs on an art piece for online game currency, because at the end of the day, this is just a side hobby for many people. they might post their art shops because cs is genuinely a community they feel like they belong in and they enjoy collecting pets, ocs, roleplaying, etc. if they prefer receiving actual payment for their hard effort, then so be it. no one is forcing the buyer to pay usd for art. forcing artists to only accept a certain form of payment for the art they are creating just seems unfair. if we ban usd payments on the site, we are just getting rid of many beloved artists. that being said, i like the idea of having a separate forum. you wouldn't have to browse through a few usd payment preferred shops anymore for art that you want. im considering opening usd payments in the future because i don't have a lot of time anymore, and i also desperately need the money, but don't have the expenditures for promoting my own site or posts on instagram currently. when taking pet and c$ commissions, i received over 30 overnight and panicked.

As Celozen mentioned, CS does not consider USD-only sales to be relevant in the Character Sales or Art Shop boards.

On the other hand, USD-only sales are allowed on the Oekaki boards since the artwork is created using the CS art program. Because of this, you may see USD-only shops there since it is relevant to CS solely because it’s using the site’s art program.

As for situations where there is a large gap between the USD price and the C$/CS pet-item price, there isn’t a practical way for us to regulate that. We can’t realistically enforce a percentage-based restriction on pricing without overstepping, so in those cases it’s up to individual users to decide whether to interact with or buy from those artists. I could see an argument for a direct conversion based on the “buying C$ with USD” prices, but each package option slightly differs in the USD-to-C$ conversion.

Thank you for clarifying. I was not aware that those could still be reported. I try not to report things without being 100% sure because I know y'all are already insanely busy, and I don't want to clog up the system with "well maybes" unless it's something I am almost certain is breaking a rule. I'll keep track of those posts/boards in the future! I love getting art here- most of the art I've obtained of my fursona over the past 11/12 years has been from artists here, and it hurts me to see people taking advantage of perceived loopholes when I know the site is mostly kids without any form of income.

I support separation of USD shop vs C$ shop. I recently asked an artist (i asked off site) why they don't take c$ anymore and they said because the inflation is too bad. They said they have so much c$ they could get any pet they want so there's no point in trying to acquire it anymore. I'd love to see a separate board for USD specifically and c$ :3

Edit: to clarify this user had about $1500 worth of currency just sitting in their account so they said at this point it's not very useful for them to open c$ shops since it's too abundant.
