If you click “Members” in the upper right corner, change “Ascending” to “Descending” next to “Sort by:”, and then click Search, you’ll be able to see everyone who has joined recently.

Oop, you are right! Sorry about that. It looks like the feature used to be available for a long time, but it was removed. Thanks to Celozon for helping me out with this since I had no idea lol. It appears this capability was removed sometime in 2019: Forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4141615

If I had to guess, it was probably removed to prevent newer users from getting scammed during the Dec. 18th event. It gave an easy way to find users who joined soon enough to adopt on Dec. 18th but may not fully understand the value of the pets they’re getting on that day yet.

You are able to see the member who joined most recently at the very bottom of the “Forums” page. Other than that, I used to just go through the list of users online to find people to gift or scroll through the free adoption board since those are frequented by newer users too. (:
