Hide threads or mark them as seen

Hello,
I think this would be a useful feature for people who browse through art/characters shops a lot !
I would like the ability to hide a thread so it doesn't appear on the thread list anymore (like ToyHouse does), or at least an ability to mark a thread as "seen" that would stay even if new messages are added to that thread.
We have different kinds of icons for "read", "unread" and "answered", we could add one more icon either for "new" (thus showcasing a thread that we've never open before, icon is different from a thread we have opened but that got new answers), or for "seen" (this "seen" icon would also stay even if the thread is getting new answers).

That way, we can browse through the art shops and character shops and either hide the shops we aren't interested in, or at least have them marked as read so we know which ones we didn't check yet.
This would avoid us shopper from having to open every thread again and again. It would make art shopping much more enjoyable.

there is actually a way to mark topics as read, although it will mark the entire forum. if you look to the right of the search bar, there's a small "mark topics read" next to the count of all topics in the forum and page number.

while it's not exactly what you're looking for, there's also a bookmark tool that you can use to keep track of shop's you're interested in, you can read about here. i hope that helps!

i still think you have a good idea, but this could work in the interim.

Support!!! I see so many shops I simply have no interest in ordering from and struggle to find new ones, as I always end up going through them all again since I forget I already looked at them!

There is actually a functionality where you can tell if you’re caught up on all posts of a thread. It’s based on if you’ve read the most recent post on it, not if you’ve seen the thread just once though.

If you look at the far left of the posts in any board, you’ll see a little symbol. If the symbol is red, that means there are recent posts you haven’t read on there.



Once you’ve gone to the most recent page of the thread, the symbol will change to a gray color.

Thank you for the advice, although that is not what I wanted at all. I was hoping for a way to know if Ialready opened a thread or not even if they got new answers. Like a way to différenciate a thread I've never opened from a thread I already opened but that later got a reply.

Support! It would help the overcrowding of trade threads that people regularly complain about. It could also put traffic on threads, not on the front page, without users having to constantly bump their threads again.
