Chicken Smoothie Site Suggestion:
“Acknowledge Site Suggestions Within an Allocated Time Period”
Now, let’s get down to business.
The Site Suggestion Board was established in 2008 as a medium to allow members to propose improvements and concerns regarding the website. There are 105 pages of site suggestions - so give or take about 2000 individual proposals. When a user submits a request, one of three things happen:
1. it’s rejected (there are too many reasons to list) and consequently locked
2. It’s accepted and consequently locked
3. It’s ignored
Number one and two are obviously not the issue here. It’s number three.
What is number three? Number three is schrödingers cat.
As you stare at your suggestion - the one you made four years ago - you wonder… is it being ignored? Maybe it’s under development? Maybe they just don’t want to do it? Hm… You have no damn clue. So you begin to feel frustrated. Do the admins not care? But your suggestion is so good! It makes so much sense! It’ll make everyone happy… So why aren’t they doing anything?
Maybe they are, maybe they aren’t - That’s the problem. We don’t know. We don’t know if our proposals are ever even seen, much less considered for development.
Sometimes suggestions are brought to fruition on a random Tuesday afternoon and sometimes they rot for years - never seeing the light of creation.
If a proposal isn’t gonna happen, then fine. I can accept that maybe not all our ideas are great, but instead of allowing users to push and bump their posts for years with the naive belief that “maybe someday,” can’t you just tell us no?
That’s why I suggest

“Acknowledge Site Suggestions Within an Allocated Time Period”
Hello, everyone ^^
I’d like to thank everyone for taking the time to review this post! Your attention is appreciated and any feedback would be greatly valued and welcome.
Before I begin, I’d like to express my gratitude towards the staff. Y’all have done an exceptional job improving and continuously upgrading this site over the past few years. Your hard work has not gone unrecognized, and I speak for (most) of the community when I say thank you.
