To decrease the number of people being scammed on December 18th my suggestion is to have every rereleased pet that has a newborn/growing stage have their rarity known before they grow into adults. This will not stop scamming from happening but I feel like it will at least help with the problem.

I know. I was thinking more in terms of new players who do not know what the boxes mean because newbies are still getting scammed. I thought this would be a good extra precaution.

It could be useful, but I feel like it might spoil the surprise a bit. Especially for litters where there's only one VR or OMGSR, you'd know right away which one you got, and that would kind of ruin it for people who like to be surprised by what they get.

I'm not sure that I really see the point of this since each box tells you the rarity of the pets inside.

Part of the special aspect of Dec 18th is the surprise; showing the rarities immediately can ruin that.

To try and save the community from being scammed, there are tons of warnings around the site to explain Dec 18th to newbies. I've even seen people have links to the Dec 18th forum explanations in their signature blocks to help out anyone new to the site. Because of this, I don't think it's necessary to show rarities for growing pets.

Just to clarify, it's not possible to get a very rare or omgsr from any of the boxes outside of the designated box.
The only exception to this is the new UR pets released that year - there is a chance to receive those from any of the three boxes. As a result, it is theoretically possible for a person to receive up to three UR pets in one year, but two would have to be the newest outcomes. ^^
